Job Purpose:

Work directly with the Logistics Specialist to coordinate and complete daily administrative tasks to maximize office productivity and ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office.

  • Receptionist Duties – answer and direct phone calls
  • Data Entry – including but not limited to: sign-in sheets, client invoices, waste audit data, compactor weights, daily waste logs
  • Administrative Duties – including but not limited to: assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports, edit documents and reports, monitoring of multiple email accounts, setting ‘away’ messages, maintaining computer software subscriptions, making travel arrangements, manage company equipment assignment sheets, research
  • Provide support to field staff – including but not limited to: printing needs, scheduling assistance, gathering and organizing of information, contact with client vendors, assisting with administrative duties as they relate to Farmers’ Markets
  • Learn and work within Act! Contact Database
  • Sales & Marketing support – make cold calls, assist in the design and implementation of social media marketing campaigns

  • If you’re the right person for this opportunity, you will have previous experience providing administrative support to a busy office and using Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred or 3 years of proven recent experience as an Administrative Assistant
  • Excellent personal and digital organizational skills with the ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and manage technical support issues as they relate to company computers
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Proficient knowledge of the major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Instagram)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – creative writing and wordsmithing abilities are a plus
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills

  • Candidate must be self-motivated, highly organized, have the ability to multi-task and be willing to take on more tasks as needed
